Real Life Matters Zambia in partnership with Zambia Deaf youth and women recently completed a Multi purpose building ”completion stage” Sponsored by our partners Murray and Roberts.The main goal for the resource center was to empower the Deaf within Copperbelt with survival skills so that they can be self reliant.
The deaf center is open and being use for sign language lessons for all the Deaf/Non deaf to learn sign language.
A school is also open for primary deaf Children. The internet cafe with computers donated by Murray and Roberts is very functional and is a source of revenue for the deaf Administration. The block making skill is being conducted by the deaf themselves already and other survival skills such as carpentry, catering and Tailoring for women are yet to be incorporated in.
